In 2019, the Chevy Silverado 1500 was debuted as a completely revamped model, replacing the previous generation. However, the full-size pickup truck is expected to return as a carryover model for its fourth model year on the market in 2022 with a revamped exterior and interior design. In addition, Chevrolet has now revealed an electric version of the Silverado, which we anticipate will be available for the 2023 model year.
Upon introduction in 2019, the Silverado 1500 featured a distinctive front end which made it stand out in a highly competitive market. According to our predictions, Chevrolet is expected to change the Silverado 1500’s design in 2022 to make it less polarizing.
According to reports, the pickup truck is anticipated to be equipped with the most recent generation of the company’s two-tiered grille design and revised headlights. In addition, however, Chevrolet is likely to revamp the tailgate and back bumper design for 2022, albeit the changes will not be as significant as those made to the front.
Chevy Silverado 1500 Production and Release Date
The next Chevy Silverado 1500 will be launched in 2022 with numerous improvements and updates on a light-duty camion refresh model. Now, according to GM Authority, the Chevy Silverado manufacturing schedule for 2022 has been revealed, along with the starting of regular production (SORP) dates for each body variant.
The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD will go into production before the redesigned 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, which will go into assembly on July 12th. It’s worth noting that the 2022 Silverado HD will be a rolling model year upgrade with only a few minor tweaks and updates compared to the revamped Light Duty truck. In preparation for the 2023 model year, a complete redesign of the Silverado HD is scheduled.
Refreshed and Improvement for 2022 Chevrolet Silverado
The updated 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is expected to bring plenty of improvements to the Light Duty pickup, such as a fresh front and rear bumper, new wheel designs, plus fresh exterior colors, as well as an entirely new cockpit with a redesigned dashboard, center stack, and center console.
New Chevy Silverado 2022 will have a new gauge cluster with the option of a display screen. In addition, the removal of the column shifter, and new technology features, the most notable of which is General Motors’ Super Cruise driving system, will be available as an additional option for the High Country trim level and will allow the Silverado to tow semi-autonomously. The new ZR2 trim level will also be introduced as part of the revamp.
